Associate Director of Education
Overview
We are looking for an energetic, forward‑thinking expert on top global educational opportunities (especially but not exclusively in the U.S.) who combines imagination and strategic thinking with exceptional attention to detail and tactical problem‑solving ability. This role sits at the intersection of academic advising, program development, and high‑touch client support.
- The position is ideal for someone transitioning out of academia, secondary education, admissions, or an education‑ or research‑oriented startup — as well as someone already experienced in educational consulting. The Associate Director of Education will work closely with students, families, and internal teams to design pathways, manage complex cases, and contribute to the growth of Hermiona’s educational offerings.
Position Details
- Half‑time role with growth potential into a full‑time, senior role within 1–2 years
- Flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends as necessary

Digital Coordination
Mix of interpersonal work on Zoom, text communication throughout the workday, and independent work with technical tools for task and client management

Experience & Motivation
- Experience working with adolescents, young adults, and/or children (7+)
- Experience in international or multicultural environments; high competency interacting across diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Academic expertise in a social sciences, humanities, arts, or STEM field
- Advanced degree in social sciences, humanities, STEM, business, education, or arts
- Desire to commit for 2+ years
- Interest in developing new skills and branching into new roles (e.g., new product development, summer programs expertise)
