The Role:

The Director of Summer Programs is responsible for guiding students and families towards their academic and/or cultural goals through American summer programs. The Director supervises a team of educational consultants through every step of the program selection and application process and oversees all behind-the-scenes operations. Specific duties include the following:

  • Managing educational consultants to ensure that students meet deadlines and target goals.

  • Identifying summer programs to address individual students’ needs and interests

  • Coordinating with the Director of Education to ensure that summer program(s) match  students’ broader educational and admissions goals.

  • Providing as-needed support to educational consultants during the application process.

  • Communicating with parents and building relationships with summer program contacts.

  • Guiding parents through program selection and admissions process with clear timelines 


 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of demonstrated managerial experience

  • Availability 10-15 hours/week year round, with ability to work 25+ hours/week November-June

  • High (C1) proficiency in English

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree

  • High (C1) proficiency in Chinese, Russian, Spanish or Ukrainian

  • 5-10 years of demonstrated managerial experience

  • Educational consulting and/or admissions experience

  • Experience working as part of a remote team

  • Personal experience with American summer programs

  • Cross-cultural / international experience
